Hello,
This forum seems very very outdated.
It needs this new features:

- "Notifications", whenever a new commet has been posted on a post you choose to follow.
- "Rewards" and "likes", to make the users engage more. I see that some posts get 600 views a day with 0 interactions.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, if no please tell me where.

Seriously, time to UPdate.

Thanks
NL

It is definitely very outdated. There are plans to phase the forums out, though it's not entirely clear what will replace them Perhaps github/gitlab discussions...

Not every Eclipse user is a git user.
I am pretty sure there are other kind of forums that are more "modern" that you can find, and without having it move to git necessarily.
Although i don't know how complicated it would be to move the database.

Generally each forum is associated with projects the huge vast majority of those are maintained in git so it's a natural association. You don't have to be a git user to be able to use a discussion page. They're really very user friendly...
